Sewing squad

Sewing Squad is committed to providing high-quality sewing programs designed with beginner sewists, aged 10-13 years in mind.

Lessons are focused on the introduction and development of basic hand and machine sewing skills, knowledge of sewing safety, equipment, fabrics, patterns, notions and techniques. Importantly, inspiring creativity for a lifelong joy of sewing is the reason for starting Sewing Squad in 2026. The introductory Junior Program has been thoughtfully designed for fun, learning and skill building with the addition of complimentary programs beginning in 2027. Programs will offer a wide range of learning activities and projects suitable for Juniors, Young Teens and Designer Teens.  

Lessons are delivered by Donna, an experienced teacher with a passion for all things hand made. Donna has been sewing since a child and appreciates the sewing wisdom passed to her from her grandma, Dorothy and mum, Robyn. Donna also sews for her daughter Yasmin and her dancing studio, which provides endless fun and possibility through the art of creativity, curiosity and playfulness.
